Ken joined the Chamber in October of 2012. Ken and his family relocated to Rocky Mount from Fredericksburg, VA where they resided for 15 years. Ken loves tinkering in his garage on classic cars or other small projects. Known as the inventor around the office, Ken loves working with small business, listening to their concerns and devising solutions. Ken also work for F.E.M.A. as a public relations specialist, and is always ready to heed the call and assist communities who have suffered a disaster event.

Linda is a native of Nash County and joined The Chamber staff upon graduating from Nash Community College in April 1983. Throughout her long tenure Linda has combined her curiosity for technology and her commitment to small business members. Because she loves her field of work she obtained the designation of Certified Professional Secretary in 1987 and is a Notary Public. She has a passion for making sure our youth are equipped for their future and is very involved in her community and church. Married to Nelson for over 25 years, they have one daughter, Julanda. For relaxation you will find her ceramic painting or putting a puzzle together, but she also enjoys cross-stitching and scrapbooking.

Alan joined the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City on January 4th.. 1999. Alan is a lifelong resident of our community and worked in marketing and sales for 24 years with American Home Products, headquartered in New York City, NY. Alan brings 25 years of experience in sales with a special focus on retail and marketing. “I enjoy working in my spare time to assist our youth within our community, particularly in their search for a career job. “ The youth is our future”.
Theresa joined the Chamber staff as President in May, 2012. Although she is new to Rocky Mount, she comes to us with over 20+ years’ experience in chamber of commerce work. Theresa brings drive, commitment and determination to the chamber. If Theresa is not off somewhere travelling or curled up with a good book, you can bet she is thinking about a business idea or two. One of her favorite “isms” she has coined over the years is “This is not your father’s Chamber.”

Desiree joined the staff of the Chamber on June 15, 2015. Desiree has a degree in Advertising and Graphic Design from Nash Community College. She is the Marketing & Events Coordinator here at the Chamber. She is ready to help reach out to our small business partners and assist with their needs in the community. Currently she resides in Tarboro, North Carolina which is her native town. She enjoys spending time with my family, reading and traveling. She definitely looks forward to meeting new people, trying new things and expanding her knowledge of the area while on the new job.
