It's hard to imagine more difficult circumstances for operating our YMCA during this time. We are a community organization. We bring people together – from all backgrounds and circumstances – and create personal connections that change lives through membership and programs. But the nature of this virus, and how it spreads, presents significant challenges for our Y. Every cancellation and membership put on hold has a direct impact on our ability to support our staff team and the community moving forward. We’re also helping to fill community needs during the crisis of COVID-19. In times like these, it’s critical that we work together as a community to lift those most impacted by health and economic challenges. Donations to this fund help the Y tremendously, as we take on additional work to meet the growing needs of our fellow community members who are especially vulnerable right now. We are committed to working safely and confidently as we move through and emerge from this health crisis together. This special fund will support our YMCA as we work through this.
