NACo is inviting children and young adults ages 18 and under to create artwork for a 2021-2022 "Counties Matter" calendar to celebrate April as National County Government Month. The Lending Library has been set up for parents, grandparents or a caring adult to borrow books to share with their children at home. Empowering Youth and Families NC Cooperative Extension and NC State University is excited to present this invaluable program in Nash County. This is a FREE program designed to help family members build their positive communication skills. Youth ages 10-14 and their caregivers will meet weekly in virtual sessions. Dinner will be provided to every family once a week. For more information and to register go to our WEBSITE. Nash County 4-H Returning to Face to Face Requirements! Updated Important Information! Nash County 4-H is working with our 4-H Leaders to help their clubs return to face to face and we/re providing face to face programming as well. In order to provide face to face program, these steps must be followed. It will be up to the 4-H Club Leader to decide if their club will meet and all clubs are welcome to work with our office to host the meetings at the Ag Center and at an approved site. Outdoor meetings are strongly encouraged. Here are important things to note when meeting in person: Must be registered on 4-H Online - this is open for re-enrollment - please complete ASAP Must watch the return to face to face video and complete the form noting you have watched the video and understand the expectations - this is a one time for 2021 - covers all 4-H club and program participation - video reflects stricter executive orders - we are following current executive orders You must wear a face covering, practice social distance, frequently wash hands or use hand sanitizer. If outside, youth and families are expected to practice social distancing and wear masks when social distancing cannot be adhere to. The meeting/program will be held during a designated time and as soon as the meeting/program is adjourned, participants will be expected to depart. Families may sit together social distance from other families. Club meetings can be take place at the Agriculture Center or an approved location. 4-H Club Clarification: Leaders will make the decision regarding their club meetings moving to Face to Face or staying virtual. Virtual club meetings are an option but our 4-H office has to set up the Zoom link through our NCSU account and one of us must be in attendance. . Prior to the meeting/program and after the meeting/program, the club leader volunteer and 4-H staff member will sanitize the tables and chairs. Once the club meeting is over, all will need to exit to allow the leader or 4-H staff member to sanitize the tables and chairs.
