Help us understand our community needs! Healthy Food Access Farmers, community aid organizations, local governments and other partners around the region need your input. There is a Healthy Food Access effort underway to better understand your family and community needs regarding food. The project goal is to identify needs and opportunities for increasing access to healthy, local food in the Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash, Northampton and Wilson counties. We want to hear from you! It only takes a few minutes to make a big impact. The link below will ask you to share information about your food-related activities – your perspectives and there are no wrong answers. This will inform and guide a regional assessment of community needs so partners can work to improve the food system in communities throughout the region. Thank you in advance. The arboretum has been serving the local community since 2004. It boasts 11 different gardens that have all been designed, planted and maintained by Extension Master Gardener Volunteers.
