News from Edgecombe Community College February 19, 2021 ECC volunteers at farmworker event Edgecombe Community College Nursing students, Medical Assisting students, and instructors are volunteering at the free Farmworker Health and Resource Fair in Rocky Mount. The event is taking place every Sunday 12-4 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot on Benvenue Road. Resources include COVID-19 testing and support, food boxes while supplies last, and blood pressure and blood sugar checks. Health insurance or government ID is not required, and walk-ins are welcome. New! Edgecombe Career Connections March 8 – March 18 Enroll in a new career exploration program. This unique two-week class is designed for 11th and 12th grade students and explores a variety of career fields, including healthcare, retail, manufacturing, professional services, and more. Class meets Monday-Thursday, 4-5:30 p.m. The first week will meet virtually. For the second week, students will have the option to meet online or in person on the Tarboro campus.
