The Tar River Arts Collaborative (TRAC) is an art organization that inspires artists to strengthen their craft and create art for their community. Through membership, artists learn and grow in a supportive environment by sharing resources, discussing ideas with artists and community members, and taking advantage of collaborative workspaces and opportunities to sell and show their art at events organized in the Tar River region of North Carolina (northeastern NC). In addition, TRAC connects the community and businesses with local artists who make unique, handmade works of art including paintings, jewelry, ceramics, photography, furniture, and more. TRAC artists provide businesses and nonprofits with opportunities to: • display art from local artists on a permanent or rotating basis • build relationships at work through team building, paint nights, or volunteer partnerships • connect with local artists for commissioned art, furniture, murals, cooperate gifts, digital design services, and photography • plan workshops that incorporate creative thinking, small business marketing, and color theory • hire artists to lead paint nights or provide live paintings at events • create unique murals TRAC provides artists with opportunities to: • take art classes • attend art critiques • show art locally • sell art at events • volunteer in the community • be listed in TRAC's artist directory • build relationships with agents and galleries • participate in the annual TRAC art show • lead and attend workshops, discussions, & book clubs • be referred for commission work • access a shared artist resource library Check out www.TarRiverArts.com to learn more!
