Held in the Brown Auditorium on the campus of Nash Community College, the International Festival of Cultures will take place Saturday, March 2 from 12 p.m-4 p.m. and has become an area favorite. “This festival brings our community together and shows us how our diversity empowers us,” said Archie Jones, Human Relations director for the city of Rocky Mount. “From the food to the fashion and the friendly atmosphere, this event showcases the best of our city – the many cultures that call Rocky Mount home.” Guests will have the opportunity to sample exotic foods, visit vendors and enjoy a fashion show and multi-cultural entertainment featuring Rocky Mount citizens with origins from around the globe. The Central American, Middle Eastern, Southeast Asian, African-American, HaliwaSaponi Indian Tribe communities and traditions will be on display.
