December 3, 2018 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Contact: Dr. Patricia Hollingsworth Chief Communications Officer Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools pdhollingsworth@nrms.k12.nc.us NRMPS Celebrates 2nd Highest United Way Campaign Total in District’s History Nashville, NC – Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools (NRMPS) celebrated another successful United Way campaign on Monday, December 3, 2018 during the December Board of Education Meeting at Rocky Mount High School (RMHS). The district collected a grand total of $66,800.69 for the United Way - Tar River Region during a campaign that was held from October 29 – November 2, 2018 which was the 2nd highest total in the district’s history. School and department level campaign coordinators were honored with a reception prior to the Board Meeting for their efforts during the campaign. Coordinators were also honored by having their photo taken during the Board Meeting. The photo was used in the December Sounding Board digital newsletter. Several schools were recognized during the meeting with certificates for various achievements during the campaign. Executive Director of the United Way – Tar River Region Ginny Mohrbutter and United Way Campaign Co-Chair Rick McMahon presented certificates and congratulated the coordinators.
