The block-party style event is free and includes games, inflatables, a live DJ, arts and crafts and more. The first 200 guests will receive a free hotdog, chips and a drink. Webby’s, the popular shaved-ice company, will also be on hand. “Summer Night Lights is one of our most favored summer programs offered in our local neighborhood parks for families,” said Emily Randell, recreation services supervisor for the city of Rocky Mount. “This is our eighth season and it just keeps getting better.” Summer Night Lights will take place Friday nights from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. in the following locations: June 15 at Three Sister's Park, 221 Walter Dr. in Battleboro; June 22 at Meadowbrook Park, 1742 Bedford Rd. in Rocky Mount; June 29 at Hornbeam Park, 150 Cunningham Dr. in Rocky Mount; July 6 at Buck Leonard Park, 929 S.
