Friday, June 8, 2018 NCC Partners with ECU for Co-Admission Nash Community College is proud to be among 14 community colleges partnering with East Carolina University to have signed a co-admission agreement designed to improve transfer student access and success through a collaborative degree completion program. Students will apply to a participating community college and ECU simultaneously and commit to maintaining full-time status. Upon completing an associate degree, they will seamlessly transition into degree-completion programs at ECU. Participating community colleges include Beaufort County Community College, Carteret Community College, College of the Albemarle, Craven Community College, Halifax Community College, Johnston Community College, Lenoir Community College, Martin Community College, Nash Community College, Pamlico Community College, Pitt Community College, Roanoke-Chowan Community College, Wayne Community College and Wilson Community College. Thomas Bashore, Nashville Police Chief, was the guest speaker. Franklin County Sheriff's Office and Nash County Sheriff's Office were in attendance and hired graduates directly from the class. In a ceremony held in Brown Auditorium, five cadets were awarded badges and certificates of completion. Nash Community College's fire training program is designed to provide individuals and firefighters the information and skills needed for modern firefighting through a variety of learning experiences and training scenarios.
