This event, open to the public, will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Edgecombe County Administration Building parking lot. The administration building is located at 201 Saint Andrew St. in Tarboro. Electronic items accepted during this event include televisions, computers and monitors, printers and scanners, keyboards, speakers, power and network cables, printed circuit boards, docking stations, routers, VCRs and DVD players, copiers and fax machines, electronic games, rechargeable batteries, telephones, cell phones, radios, stereos, CD players, audio visual equipment, typewriters, fax cartridges, cash registers, video boards and microwaves. Community paper shredding will also take place. "Edgecombe County Recycles Day provides an opportunity for our residents in the Tarboro area to rid their homes of electronics and other unwanted household items safely, efficiently and free of charge," says Cornelia McGee, coordinator for KAB. Edgecombe County Recycles Day is sponsored by KAB of Nash and Edgecombe counties, Edgecombe County and Shred-It of NC. Edgecombe County Recycles Day is free to the public.
