Advisory boards consist of professional leaders, community members, and faculty who are experts in the subject area of their board. Read full story Award-winning student leader began ECC in High School Equivalency Program A little more than a decade ago, Michael Parker dropped out of high school and joined the workforce, knocking around Eastern North Carolina, searching for his way in life. After a few years of low-paying hourly jobs, Parker decided education was the key to his future. He enrolled at ECC, earned his GED, and then began working toward a business degree. Now, at twenty-eight, Parker has discovered a path that has turned him into an honor student, community activist, student leader, and prestigious scholarship winner. Basic Law Enforcement Training graduate Jerry Shoemaker took the oath of office with the Bethel Police Department on February 14. He was among eleven cadets who graduated from the 4th Basic Academy for BLET last fall. New classes begin March 12 Register now for 8-week courses. Classes meet March 12 through May 8. These fast-paced classes cover the same amount of material as traditional 16-week classes. Choose from 64 courses, 24 are online.
