Coastal Credit Union Foundation's Power of Sharing Gala is now accepting applications for non-profit partners All non-profit organizations within Wake, Durham, Orange, Johnston, Harnett, Lee, Chatham, Person, Granville, Franklin, Nash, Edgecombe, and Vance County have been invited to apply to be featured at the Coastal Federal Credit Union Foundation’s Power of Sharing Gala. This year’s goal is to fund organizations that have projects or programs that will specifically alleviate food insecurity, help the financially vulnerable or contribute to financial literacy. A panel comprised of local business contributors will review applications and vote to determine 6 finalists. All finalists will be invited to the Power of Sharing Gala on May 18th. For the second consecutive year, businesses in the Triangle are coming together to create a collaborative funding forum called The Power of Sharing. The goal is to recognize the impact our local non-profits are making throughout the community. Award recipients will be chosen after careful consideration of their application for submission. A panel comprised of representatives from the Foundation and local business partners will review each application to determine if the project they hope to fund meets one of three criteria – education, alleviates food insecurity, or the project itself helps the financially vulnerable. Two finalists for each category will be chosen and recognized during The Power of Sharing Gala at the American Tobacco Campus. All award winners will be honored during this event and a final winner will be awarded with a substantial gift.
