Scheduled to take place Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Best Friend’s Dog Park, the event will begin at 11 a.m. and will include an Easter egg hunt for man’s best friend. “We are truly excited to host an event which has become a staple in the Rocky Mount community,” says Alex Langley, senior center manager and coordinator of the annual Paws in the Park event. “There will be a multitude of activities for families to enjoy.” Paws in the Park events will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include a pet fashion show, a bandana art station, vendors, food trucks and music. Dare Devil Dogs, a thrilling stunt dog entertainment team, will also perform. “This unique event can be a lot of fun for the entire family,” says Langley. “It provides an opportunity for dog-loving citizens, businesses, non-profit organizations and many others to advance the humane treatment of dogs and to promote responsible pet ownership.” Julie Wilson, weekend anchor for ABC11 Eyewitness News, will serve as an event emcee. Selena, the mid-day host for Rocky Mount’s Power 95.5, will also host. Best Friend’s Dog Park is located at 480 Lee Street, adjacent to Sunset Park in Rocky Mount.
