This campaign brings all aspects of the community together to address the critical need to support all children to read on grade level by the end of the third grade with a focus on school readiness, summer learning and attendance. DEPC also recently released its strategic plan of work through 2020. The plan includes the four building blocks that will ensure every child is fit, heathy and ready to learn: high quality child care, health and development on track before birth, engaged families and coordinated communities and effective teaching and learning for K-3 students, inside and out 365 days a year.
